Hi my name's Helen and I joined the practise in May 2008 to work part time as a hygienist.

I have a vast amount of experience in the dental industry having trained at the Manchester Dental Hospital at the age 16.

I then went on to gain my postgraduate degree in Conscious Sedation and Dental Radiography by the time I was 19.

I have spent 3 years nursing within the Orthodontics and Paediatric Department of the Manchester Dental Hospital assisting the orthodontist before working at the Community Dental Service as the lead dental nurse. Within this occupation I worked within special needs schools giving oral health education so am highly experienced in dealing with anxious/phobic patients and have a naturally calming disposition. I have since obtained an NVQ in Teaching and 7307 Teaching Certificate and for three years taught budding nurses at the Manchester Dental Hospital.

I am now qualified as a dental hygienist and dental therapist having attended the Greater Manchester School for Professionals Complementary to Dentistry to gain a dual diploma and can now administer filings, extractions and particularly enjoy restorative treatment including protective tooth coatings to tooth coloured fillings. I am also trained to provide advanced tooth whitening treatments.

In my spare time I love horse riding, walking, fitness and running.
