Meet the Team

Hi, I’m Peter and I would like to give you a big welcome to 32 Whites Dental and Implant Clinic.

I qualified at Queens University, Belfast in 1979 and after working as an associate for 4 years, John and myself decided to set up two practices one in 1983 and our present practice in 1985.

During this time we have helped many patients look after their teeth and overcome their dental fears, along with everyone at the practice I am dedicated to treating nervous patients painlessly and comfortably.

I really enjoy direct composite resin dentistry, which means bonding tooth coloured restorations to natural teeth to make them both look fantastic and function perfectly, as well as minimal invasive all ceramic restorations.

I am a member of the association of cosmetic dentistry. I continue to update and extend my knowledge within dentistry so that I can provide my patients with the most up to date treatments using the most advanced materials.

I also have a keen interest in treating occlusion and helping patients who have a problem with their bite. This is particularly so for people who suffer from migraine and tension headaches. I have carried out many full mouth rehabilitation involving crowns, bridges and fillings, implants and veneers.

I, like my brother John, practice all aspects of dentistry and my aim is to provide excellent dentistry in a relaxing environment and because of this many of our patients have been coming to see us, since we opened and we enjoy a relaxed and friendly rapport.

I have two boys Jack who has an equestrian business of which I enjoy helping him out and Alec whom is at university and enjoys travelling the world. In my spare time I enjoy playing golf, cycling, skiing and in my younger days I was a keen ruby player and still enjoy watching the game.

Hi I’m John and I would like to welcome you to 32 Whites Dental & Implant Clinic. I have a special interest in treating patients whose teeth have undergone extensive breakdown and wear. In many cases these patients will now have both compromised function as well as poor aesthetics. The later causing them to sometimes feel very self- conscious about their smile. All patients are assessed with both care and empathy prior to commencing any treatment and are given all the information they need to make an informed choice about their treatment. The over-riding objective is to achieve predictable longevity in the treatment with the emphasis on function, comfort and good aesthetics.

I also have 20 years experience in placing and restoring dental implants.

I am experienced in re-aligning teeth which have either moved or drifted using both the Invisalign and Inman Aligner systems. Invisalign is a clear aligner treatment unlike fixed braces using removable near invisible clear aligners to gently move teeth into a better position.

I regularly attend advanced seminars and hands-on courses both in the UK and internationally both to further my knowledge and training as well as to keep up to date with new developments. I also lecture and provide training to dentists on the treatment of broken down and worn teeth and the re-building of dentitions and smiles using minimally invasive dentistry where possible.

Outside of dentistry I keep fit through trekking and cycling. Yoga helps me to maintain balance within my life. I enjoy the arts as well as travel to the various corners of the globe. I value and enjoy the company of my close friends ,wife and three children.

An important part of my life is helping the people that I meet through my work. I am well aware that many patients who come to see us for the first time are nervous or apprehensive. Some people may have lost their confidence or self esteem. All I ask of you is that you trust that first step. I will always do my best not to let you down. That is my promise to you.

Hi I am Ian and I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1981 and for the next five years I was a junior surgeon in the RAF at Cranwell and the RAF Germany.

After leaving the Air Force, I gained experience in private practice in Germany where I trained in German dental technology. This interest led me to an invitation to join a training programme in the developing field of dental implantology at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, USA. During this time I was introduced to O. Hilt Tatum Jnr, one of the most highly respected pioneers in the implant field. He then mentored me in my development, at the Edward White Memorial Hospital Complex, St Petersburg, Florida.

I now support Dr Tatum as a clinical tutor at the Tatum Institute in Birmingham, England.

In 1994 I became committed to a full time private practise. With 20 years of clinical experience in this field, I pride himself on being able to restore those patients who have poor function or extreme dental needs back to total health, function and aesthetics.

I now play an integral part of the surgical function at 32Whites and feel that I am a valued member of the team.
